The 65th Annual Grammy Awards will celebrate the best in the music industry on Sunday, February 5, with comedian Trevor Noah returning as host. Promising a full lineup of today's stars, legendary veterans and up-and-comings, the show will feature special performances by big names to celebrate 50 years of hip-hop.
The Grammys will be broadcast from Los Angeles starting at 8:00 PM ET on Sunday on CBS as well as live and on demand on Paramount+.
Beyoncé leads the list this year with nine nominations from the Recording Academy . He is followed by Kendrick Lamar, with eight.

All eyes will be on many of the contests for the top Grammy Awards, and the results may be less predictable than usual for a number of reasons.
Behind the scenes and in response to public calls, The Recording Academy has undergone significant changes in recent years. Formerly accused of racial and gender bias, the organization said in a statement that Academy voters "changed dramatically last fall when they welcomed a new membership class of nearly 2,000 diverse music creators and professionals." He said the move is part of an "intentional and ongoing effort to foster a community that embraces the ethnicities, genres and crafts that are the foundation of the music industry".
Sunday's Grammy Awards will be the second most nominated — 10 — in each of the four big categories: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. The Recording Academy has announced plans to increase the number of places from eight to 10 candidates by the end of 2021.
The competition is particularly tough this year. Here are the records, albums, and artists to watch in the Big Four Grammy categories.

The Record of the Year Grammy was awarded to the artist for one track, as well as the producers, audio engineers, mixers, and lead engineers who helped bring it to life. This year's nominees, all nominated for awards for achievement in their respective genres, include several industry legends.

Several other Record of the Year nominees also stand a chance of winning. Competitors: "Don't Shut Me Up" by ABBA, "Good Morning Wonderful" by Mary J. Blige, "You and Me on the Rock" by Brandi Carlisle, "Woman" by Doja Cat, "Babbit Habit." "Steve Lacey," Kendrick Lamar's "Part 5 of Heart," Lizzo's "Time to Destroy" and Harry Styles' "Like It Can."
Besides "Easy on Me" and "Break My Soul," there were several other nominated albums, including "Bad Habit," "About Damn Time," "As It Was," and "Woman" all in one. in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. Rolling Stone ranked Lacey's "Bad Habit" at number three on its list of the 100 Best Songs of 2022.
Carlyle, Lamar, and Dojo Cat have been nominated twice in the category, while Blige and Lizo have been nominated once during their awards run, making ABBA's long-awaited comeback after four decades. Lucious, Lacey & Styles was nominated for Record of the Year for the first time.

Several of this year's Album of the Year nominees have received nominations before in the same category — Beyoncé fourth, Adele and Coldplay third, and Carlisle and Lizzo second. But Adele, who won the award for her last two studio albums, 21 and 25, is the only contender for the award.

Swift has been nominated six times for Song of the Year, although she has never won a Grammy Award in this category. Adele has won twice since then — for Rolling In The Deep at 21 and Hello at 25 — but when she gave her acceptance speech for Album of the Year in 2017, the artist gave her performance after the win. in the song. For the first time since 2017, none of the Grammy Award nominees for Best New Artist received nominations in the other four major categories.
The nominees for Best New Artist are: Anita, Omar Apollo, Domi, JD Beck, Mooney Long, Samara Joy, Lata, Maniskin, Toby Nwegui, Molly Tuttle, and Wit Feet.
There are also several contenders in the Best Album categories: "Wet Feet" for Best Alternative Music Album. Tuttle's Crooked Tree was nominated for Best Bluegrass Album. Joey's "Lingering While" was nominated for Best Jazz Vocal Album. and DOMi and JD Beck's "Not Tight" nominated for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album.
Lata's "Big Energy," the rapper's hit single from her album "777," was also nominated for a solo Grammy Award for Best Rap Melody Performance. The chart-topping success of Latton sets her apart from her competition for mainstream artists, though only two other female singers have won in the category: Lauryn Hill and Megan T. Stallion.
