The holiday spirit is strong when relaxing on a beautiful patio during a relaxing vacation, and Fodor's Travel says the top three hotel patios in the US are in New England.
The travel site recently published a list of the 13 best hotel balconies in America, and that list includes the Inn at Hastings Park in Lexington, the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, NH, and the Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI.
"In today's fast-moving society, travelers are often on the move," writes Fodor's Travel. "People aren't used to slowing down these days, but you'll be inspired to sit back and enjoy the view from the balcony of this large, spacious, and often historic hotel."
At the Hastings Park Inn in Lexington, near historic Lexington Battle Green where the Revolutionary War began, the inn's "beautiful patio is lined with flowers and can be a great place to relax or dine, depending on the setting."
At the Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, NH, which opened in 1902, the website states: "From the deck, guests enjoy magnificent views of Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast, and the rest of the Presidential Range. from his back.
Finally, the Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, "its expansive deck provides an inviting spot for guests to enjoy sweeping water views."
