Unlimited data in Saudi Arabia

CelcomDigi has announced a new Roaming Pass for those travelling to Saudi Arabia to perform their Hajj pilgrimage. The Hajj Roaming Pass provides unlimited data and 30 minutes of voice calls in Saudi Arabia for only RM128 and this is a limited-time promotion.

With this pass, CelcomDigi customers can enjoy unlimited data which comes with a daily Fair Usage Policy (FUP) of 2GB per day. Once your daily FUP is reached, your speeds will be throttled to 1Mbps (until it refreshes at 12am), which is still sufficient for web browsing and video streaming.

To stay in touch with voice, the plan comes with 30 minutes of free calls which covers receiving and making calls to Malaysia, and calls to Saudi Arabia numbers. Take note that the standard call rates apply if you call to other countries besides Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, or if you’ve fully utilised the 30-minute quota.

To activate, you can purchase the pass via the Celcom Life or MyDigi app. Just tap on Buy Adds-Ons, select roaming and click on the roaming pass to activate. Remember that the Hajj Roaming Pass is only applicable for usage in Saudi Arabia and it doesn’t cover data usage when you transit via other countries.

The roaming partners for CelcomDigi in Saudi Arabia are STC and Zain. However, Celcom customers are also able to roam on Mobily network.

For more information, you can visit the CelcomDigi roaming page and check out their FAQ.
