If you’re looking for a budget 5G smartphone, Xiaomi Malaysia has released the Redmi 13C 5G which is currently going for as low as RM659. Not to be confused with the Redmi 13C which was announced last year, this is a 5G-enabled smartphone and it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity chip instead of a Helio G85.

Redmi 13C 5G Malaysia Price

The Redmi 13C 5G is offered in two variants and it is priced as follows in Malaysia:

  • Redmi 13C 5G 4GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM699
  • Redmi 13C 5G 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – RM999

As part of its online exclusive promo, the Redmi 13C 5G 4GB RAM + 128GB storage can be yours for RM659, which is RM40 off. The device comes in 3 colour options – Starry Black, Starry Silver and Twilight Blue.

Redmi 13C 5G Malaysia Specs

Similar to the 4G version, the new Redmi 13C 5G comes with a 6.74″ 90Hz display pushing an HD+ resolution of 1600×720 pixels. Under the hood, it runs on a Dimensity 6100+ chip and it comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. If you need more storage, the Redmi 13C 5G still supports microSD card expansion of up to 1TB.

In the camera department, the Redmi 13C 5G gets a dual camera setup but interestingly, the spec sheet only mentions a single 50MP “AI” main camera. We reckon that the secondary shooter is likely a low-resolution depth camera. For selfies, it gets a 5MP front camera that sits in a tiny notch on the top of the screen.
