Apple Pencil Pro coming to Malaysia for RM599

To accompany the new M4-based iPad Pro which was one of the main stars at last night’s Apple Let Loose event, the Cupertino giant has also unveiled the new Apple Pencil Pro. While physically it may look identical to previous Apple Pencil releases, there is a “Pencil Pro” label on the top of the device to ensure that users would not mistake it for the non-pro Apple Pencil.

Apple Pencil Pro Malaysia pricing, release date

The new Apple Pencil Pro is going to be available in Malaysia for RM599 which is the same price tag as the existing 2nd generation Apple Pencil. At the same time, it also costs RM200 more than the Apple Pencil USB-C and is also RM120 more than the current price of the 1st generation model.

Even though the Malaysian pricing for the new stylus has been confirmed, its release date for our market has not yet been revealed by Apple.

Apple Pencil Pro’s new functionalities

The new Pro model brings together several new features into the family including the ability to activate a tool palette when you squeeze it. Pencil Pro is also equipped with a gyroscope that allows users to precisely change the orientation of their tools by rotating the barrel.

It also comes with a haptic engine that delivers a light tap to indicate confirmation to users when they squeeze, double tap, or snap to a Smart Shape.

The Pencil Pro is also the first Apple Pencil to support Find My which allows users to locate it if they misplaced the Pencil Pro. As per its predecessors, the Pencil Pro can be paired and charged simply by mounting it on the side of the iPad Pro.
