We have seen several new open-ear design headphones lately like the Huawei Freeclip and the Bose Ultra Open. If you’re looking for an affordable option, Xiaomi Malaysia has just announced the OpenWear Stereo and they currently have an exclusive offer for early bird customers.

Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Malaysia Pricing

The Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo is officially priced at RM599 in Malaysia. However, if you purchase one online from 15th to 22nd July 2024, they are going for only RM499. The OpenWear Stereo are available on the official store on Lazada, Shopee and Mi online store.

If you purchase the OpenWear Stereo from the official Mi online store, you can add-on the Xiaomi Sound Pocket for RM5 as a Purchase with Purchase (PWP) deal. The open-ear design headphones are available in Cosmic Grey and Sandstone Beige.

Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Malaysia Specs and Features

According to Xiaomi, the OpenWear Stereo emphasises comfort and quality along with extra long battery life for music playback. The headphones come with a 17x12mm dynamic driver and are optimised for bass performance. It supports LHDC high-definition codec up to 96kHz HD Audio and is also Hi-Res Audio wireless certified.

The earbuds are also equipped with a 10mm leak-proof driver which is said to counteract the leak-sound wave in close-range scenarios. For clearer voice calls, it also gets dual microphones with AI call noise reduction.

The earbuds feature an open-hook design which Xiaomi said is designed to fit different ear types with minimal interference with eyewear. Each earbud weighs approximately 9.6g and is covered with soft and skin-friendly liquid silicon.

The ear hook uses an embedded flexible nickel-titanium alloy wire to maintain an excellent fit even during strenuous exercise. According to Xiaomi, they have tested the ear hook by bending and twisting it to 90 degrees 5,000 times.

In terms of connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 5.3 as well as Google Fast Pair. The earbuds support gesture controls allowing you to control your music playback and to answer calls with double or triple taps. It also gets IP54-rated dust and water resistance for greater peace of mind during outdoor workouts.

The Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo can last up to 7.5 hours of music playback on a single charge or up to 38.5 hours in total with the charging case included. The case with a 788mAh battery supports fast charging and a quick 10-minute charge via USB-C is said to provide up to 1.5 hours of music playback.
