60-month instalment plan by SenQ

The Google Pixel 9 series is coming to Malaysia very soon and the full details are expected to be revealed on 14th August 2024. The “Made by Google” smartphones will be offered via telco contract as well as outright purchase through several authorised retailers.

If you plan to buy the Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL outright without paying a huge lump sum upfront, Senheng and SenQ probably have the longest instalment option yet with up to 60 months with participating credit cards.

Instead of the usual 24-month or 36-month instalment plans, Senheng and SenQ are offering 0% interest easy payment plans with up to 60 months (5-year) duration. That’s almost as long as some car loans.

Google Pixel 9 Payment options for in-store payment

If you’re planning to buy the Google Pixel 9 series from Senheng/SenQ in stores, you can enjoy up to 60-month instalment plan if you’re an Ambank or Standard chartered card holder. Assuming the device costs RM5,000, it will cost you RM83.30/month if you take up a 0% EPP plan across 60 months.

If 60 months is too long, there are also 48-month options from Ambank, Public Bank and Standard Chartered.

For online payment through the Senheng/SenQ online store, the only card that accepts 48- or 60-month instalment options is Ambank. Other cards such as AMEX, CIMB, Hong Leong Bank, HSBC, Maybank, Public Bank, RHB and Standard Chartered are offering up to 36-month instalments.

Similar to in-store payment options, you can also purchase it through Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) platforms such as Atome (3 months) and Grab PayLater (4 months).
