Gentari has deployed a new EV charging station at Gamuda Cove in Kuala Langat. Similar to its previous deployment at Gamuda Gardens, the new EV charging location at Gamuda Cove features a Kempower DC charger with 4 nozzles, but this location offers a higher output of up to 240kW.
Gentari’s Gamuda Cove EV chargers are located near the Discovery Park which is just across the street from the Starbucks Drive Thru. The chargers are covered and it has two Kempower satellite terminals with two CCS2 nozzles each.
Similar to other Gentari DC chargers, it costs RM1.50 per kWh and you can activate them via Gentari Go, JomCharge, ChargEV and Setel. If you have an annual Gentari Go membership plan, these chargers will only cost you RM0.75 per kWh with its 50% off perk.
Based on photos shared on Plugshare, these chargers offer up to a maximum of 240kW for 800V EVs, while 400V EVs can only get up to 120kW.
As a new township, Gamuda Cove is becoming a major EV charging hub with a variety of AC and DC charge points. It is also home to the largest Tesla EV charging station in Southeast Asia with a total of 6 Supercharger stalls and 18 Destination charging points. However, these Tesla chargers are currently offered exclusively to Tesla vehicles. The Tesla DC chargers are priced at RM1.25 per kWh while the AC charge points are still free until further notice.
