With the National Day promo, the Asus ROG Phone 8 will be sold at a discounted price of RM3,599. This is RM400 lower than its original RM3,999 price tag. To enjoy this discount, you will have to purchase the ROG Phone 8 either through Asus’ Authorised Phone Resellers or online via the Asus official E-Store.
The ROG Phone 8 Pro and ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition on the other hand are retailed at their launch prices of RM4,799 and RM5,999 respectively.

ROG Phone 8 quick specs
First made its launch in Malaysia earlier in January this year, the ROG Phone 8 sports a sleeker and more industrial look than its predecessors, featuring an RGB logo at the back. It now sports flat sides, with a pair of pressure-sensitive AirTriggers that double as shoulder buttons on its right side.
At its front is a 6.78-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) E6 AMOLED display. It features LTPO technology, allowing the ROG Phone 8 to adjust its refresh rate dynamically between 1Hz and 165Hz. Powering the ROG Phone 8 in Malaysia is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 system-on-a-chip (SoC), paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
On the camera department, the Malaysian market ROG Phone 8 is equipped with a 50MP, f/1.9 main shooter, a 13MP, f/2.2 ultrawide camera as well as a 5MP, f/2.4 macro camera. At the front is a 32MP, f/2.5 selfie camera. The ROG Phone 8 also comes with a dual stereo camera setup, along with a 3.5mm audio jack.
Supplying power to the gaming smartphone is a 5,000mAh battery, which can be replenished via the brand’s 65W HyperCharge fast-wired charging technology, and can also be wirelessly charged at a maximum charging rate of 15W. The ROG Phone 8 also has two USB-C ports, one on the bottom, and one on the side.
Running on Android 14, the Asus ROG Phone 2 is promised with at least two years of major Android OS updates and four years of security patches. Like in the past, this gaming smartphone is also equipped with Asus’ suite of gaming tools such as Armoury Crate and Game Genie.
