The arrival of the XPeng G6 has been anticipated for quite some time and interestingly enough, the official pricing for the new EV is much lower than the original estimated price. That being said, the options available in Malaysia remain as two variants.

Here’s how much the XPeng G6 is priced in Malaysia:

  • XPeng G6 580 Pro: RM165,820
  • XPeng G6 755 Pro: RM185,820

Regardless of the variant, the electric SUV can be obtained in Midnight Black, Silver Frot, Artic White, Graphite Gray, and Fiery Orange. You can also choose the interior to be either Black or Gray.

Both of the G6 variants that are available in Malaysia feature a rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup. As you can tell from their pricing above, they do have different power output and range.

For starters, the G6 580 Pro features a 190kW (255hp) electric motor while the G6 755 Pro features a 210kW (282hp) motor. Despite the differences in their power output, both variants offer a peak torque of 440Nm.

They also can reach a top speed of 200km/h although when it comes to 0-100km/h timing, the G6 755 Pro which is also known as the Long Range (LR) variant is quicker at 6.2 seconds. That being said, the difference was not that much though since the base G6 580 Pro option can go from 0 to 100km/h in 6.6 seconds.

Powered by a 66kWh LFP battery, the G6 580 Pro which is also called the Standard Range (SR) can deliver a WLTP-rated range of up to 435km. On the other hand, its LR counterpart comes with an 87.5kWh NMC battery and provides a much higher range at up to 570km.

Thanks to the EV’s 800V architecture, the G6 SR model can support a DC charging speed of up to 215kW while the G6 LR can even go higher at up to 280kW. This allows their battery to go from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes.

As for AC charging, these G6 variants have been fitted with an 11kW 3-phase AC onboard charger. According to Bermaz, it takes around 7.5 hours to charge the SR variant from 5% to 100% while the AC charging for the LR model is around 9.5 hours.
