If you want the latest BYD Atto 3 2024 but need a longer range to drive the distance, Sime Darby Motors has officially launched its “Upgraded” model for Malaysia. This is essentially the Atto 3 Extended Range model and it is priced the same as the Standard Range model launched in May this year.

BYD Atto 3 Extended Range 2024 Malaysia Price

The new BYD Atto 3 2024 with a bigger battery is priced at RM149,800 in Malaysia. That’s RM18,000 cheaper than the previous BYD Atto 3 Extended Range launched in December 2022 which was priced at RM167,800.

Besides this fully electric SUV, BYD has also revealed its new entry-level BYD Seal Dynamic, priced at RM163,800.

The Atto 3 is currently the most popular electric SUV in Malaysia with 1,990 units registered between January to July 2024. The BYD Seal is currently the most popular EV with over 2,000 units registered so far until July 2024.

What’s new with the BYD Atto 3 2024?

Being the Extended Range model, the “upgraded” Atto 3 2024 gets all the bells and whistles. It still gets the same single 150kW motor (201hp) driving the front wheels with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.3 seconds.

Being the high-spec model, it gets a larger 60.48kWh LFP battery with a WLTP-rated range of 420km on a single charge (NEDC: 480km). It can do DC charging up to 88kW, while AC charging is still a single-phase 7kW.

Compared to its previous BYD Atto 3 2024 (Standard Range), the upgraded model gets larger 18″ wheels, a total of 8 speakers and a built-in PM 2.5 Air filter. Other extras include multi-colour ambient lighting on the door handle with music rhythm mode.
