Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 gets new AI features

Aside from a more powerful processor and an upgraded main camera sensor, one of the most notable new features the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 brought to the table is its array of new Galaxy AI features.

But now, Samsung has also brought some of those features like Portrait Studio and Sketch to Image to its older models, including the previous-gen Galaxy Z Flip 5. With that, should you still pick up the newer Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6?

What’s new with Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 update?

Among the new features included with the new One UI 6.1.1 update is the Interpreter Listening Mode. Let’s say you’re attending a conference conducted in a foreign language. Instead of missing out on the key points, Inteperter’s Listening Mode offers real-time translations, allowing you to understand what’s being said as if you have a personal translator with you. What’s even more awesome is that this feature will still work when offline, as long as you have the language packs downloaded beforehand.

Another new AI feature included with the One UI 6.1.1 update is PDF Overlay Translate, which is included within Note Assist. We have all been in a situation where we’re given a PDF menu written in a foreign language.

But with PDF Overlay Translate, the texts on your document can be translated in no time on the app itself, eliminating the need to type out or copy any text, deal with pop-up windows, or be redirected to a different app. Like the Interpreter feature, PDF Overlay Translate will still work even without an internet connection, so long you download the language packs.
