CFMoto has recently expanded its product portfolio in Malaysia by adding models from its electric motorcycle division, Zeeho. The sub-brand’s first product for our market comes in the form of the Zeeho AE4 which is an entry-level electric scooter.
Zeeho AE4 Malaysia pricing, colours
The Zeeho AE4 is available in Malaysia with just a single variant for RM6,999 not inclusive of insurance and road tax. The AE4 can be obtained in Malaysia in three colourways including Velocity Gray, Helios Orange, and Nebula White.
At the moment, this electric scooter has not yet been listed on the official website of MARiiCas national electric motorcycle rebate program. However, iCity Motoworld Shah Alam which houses the latest CFMoto Flagship Store has said that the AE4 is eligible for the rebate and this would cut down the bike’s price to RM4,599.
Zeeho AE4 comes with modest performance, range
Being the second lowest-end model within the Zeeho AE family, the AE4 was fitted with a rather modest set of hardware. For starters, the electric scooter comes with a rear hub motor that has a rated power of 1.6kW (2.14hp) which can be pushed further to 3kW (4hp).
According to CFMoto, the AE4 can accelerate from 0 to 30km/h in under 3.5 seconds. In case you are wondering why the acceleration is rated in such a way, it is because the electric scooter’s top speed is just 65km/h.
The AE4 is powered by a 74V 27Ah (2kWh) lithium battery pack located underneath its foot mat. The battery is not removable though and you have to plug the provided cable directly into the bike to charge it which takes around 5.5 hours to go from 0% to 80%.
Meanwhile, the AE4 can deliver up to 63km of WMTC-rated range. All in all, it seems that this electric scooter is more suitable for short-range travel or delivery services.
Other features within Zeeho AE4
With a steel tube chassis as its foundation, the electric scooter comes with a telescopic fork on the front and adjustable twin shock absorbed on the back. The 96kg electric scooter also features front and rear disc brakes although only the front is fitted with an anti-lock brake system (ABS).
Comes standard with 12-inch alloy wheels and Obor Dragon tyres, the tyre sizes for AE4 are 80/90 on the front and 100/80 tyre on the back. The AE4 is also accompanied by an NFC key for start/stop operation, a physical key for bike and seat locks, an LCD digital instrument cluster, and 31L under-seat storage space that should have enough room for a helmet.
