Slightly less than a month ago, RedMagic, the gaming sub-brand of Nubia, unveiled a gaming tablet, known literally as the RedMagic Nova Gaming Tablet.

Now it’s available on sale in Malaysia and is offered in two configurations. This includes the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage options. Between now and the 13th of November, you can get the Nova Gaming Tablet with a RM500 discount along with free gifts.

From now till the 13th of November 2024, the Nova Gaming Tablet can be had with a RM500 discount, along with complimentary gifts. This includes a magnetic speaker worth RM149 and a protective case worth RM299. Below are the prices of the RedMagic Nova Gaming Tablet in Malaysia.

Made for those looking for a mobile gaming device but with a bigger screen, the RedMagic Nova Gaming Tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chip, which is essentially an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Specifically, the CPU has been clocked at up to 3.4GHz, while the Adreno 750 GPU it’s paired to is clocked at 1GHz. The gaming tablet is equipped with either 12GB or 16GB of  LPDDR5X RAM, depending on the variant chosen, and comes with up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Scoring 2,352,902 on AnTuTu Benchmark, Nubia says this makes the Nova Gaming Tablet the only tablet capable of handling AAA games for serious gamers. To keep it running fast and cool during intense gaming sessions, the RedMagic Nova Gaming Tablet is fitted with a 9-layer cooling system, paired with a 20,000RPM fan that also illuminates, for that cool gaming vibe.

The Nova Gaming Tablet is packed with RedMagic Cube AI and Gravity X 2.0 to elevate your gaming experience by providing multiple game modes and enhanced connectivity. Also included is RedMagic Game Space 2.0 which comes with performance tuning, graphics switching, and accessory control.

As for its display, the RedMagic Nova Gaming Tablet is fitted with a 10.9-inch 2.8K IPS LCD panel, pushing out 2880 x 1800 pixels. Yes, this might not be the crowd-favourite OLED panel, but it does have a gaming-friendly 144Hz refresh rate and an 840Hz touch sampling rate.

How long can you game on the Nova Gaming Tablet? Well, RedMagic says 10 hours on a single charge. This is thanks to its 10,100mAh battery, which under daily usage circumstances is said to be able to last up to 18.7 hours.

Charging the battery can be done via 80W fast wired charging using USB-C. In terms of software, the RedMagic Nova Gaming Tablet runs on the brand’s RedMagic OS, on top of Android 14.
