EV Connection (EVC), the operator of JomCharge EV charging network has expanded its offerings by becoming an authorised JPJePlate installer. Currently, the installation can be done at its headquarters in Kelana Jaya.
EVC JPJePlate fitment service has some extra twists
There are several interesting twists that EVC has implemented to make its JPJePlate fitment experience slightly different from that of other authorised installers.
For one, the company has set up an online store where customers can directly order JPJePlate. This is unlike most installers out there which usually requires you to call or message them and make the payment through online transfer manually.
With EVC, all you need to do is choose your preferred fitment time slot, input the required details, upload an image of your Vehicle Ownership Certificate (a.k.a the car grant), and pay the fee. EVC staff will then be in contact to provide updates regarding the status of your JPJePlate.
Other than that, customers will also receive free EV charging credit worth RM10 from EVC which they can utilise at any JomCharge charger throughout the country. They will receive the free credit directly inside the JomCharge app within one working day once the JPJePlate fitment has been completed on their EV.
How much does it cost to obtain JPJePlate through EVC?
In terms of pricing, the total cost to order JPJePlate via EVC is RM136. Considering that the JPJePlate set itself already costs RM98, so you are looking at an installation fee of RM38.
The estimated installation time is around 20 minutes but from our own experience earlier today, it didn’t take that long to sort everything out. You choose to have the JPJePlate installed at EVC as early as 9:00 AM while the last installation slot is at 4:30 PM although this only applies from Monday to Friday.
On Saturday, the final slot is at 11:40 AM while EVC’s HQ is not open on Sunday. To learn more, head on to EVC’s official website.
