Besides the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, Xiaomi Malaysia has also announced the Redmi Note 14 “Classic” series. Priced from RM699, the budget-centric Redmi Note 14 comes in either 4G and 5G variants. While they look similar on the surface, there are some notable hardware differences between the two.

The Redmi Note 14 4G is offered in Mist Purple, Ocean Blue, Lime Green, and Midnight Black, while the 5G version comes in Lavender Purple, Coral Green, and Midnight Black.

Redmi Note 14 5G Malaysia Specs and Features
The Redmi Note 14 5G comes with a 6.67″ 120Hz AMOLED display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. It boasts a peak brightness of 2100 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. For better durability, the device gets a dust and splash resistance rating of IP64.
Under the hood, it runs on a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra chip with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. If you need more storage, it can accept microSD card expansion up to 1TB.
The Redmi Note 14 5G features a triple-camera setup which include a 108MP f/1.7 main camera with OIS, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. For selfies, it comes with a 20MP front camera.
This budget 5G smartphone is equipped dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and it still comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Powering the device is a 5,110mAh battery that supports 45W Turbo charging and the 45W charger is included.

Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 14 4G also retains a similar 6.67″ 120Hz Full HD+ (2400×1080) AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 but it has a lower 1800 nits of peak brightness. In terms of water resistance, the 4G variant gets a lower IP54 splash resistant rating.
The 4G phone runs on a MediaTek Helio G99-Ultra chip mated to LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage which is also expandable via microSD up to 1TB.
For taking pictures, it gets a 108MP f/1.7 main camera without OIS, a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. However, the front still gets a 20MP f/2.2 selfie shooter.
The 4G model still has dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and it also gets a 3.5mm headphone jack. Despite being the cheaper device, it has the largest battery in the Redmi Note 14 series with a larger 5,500mAh battery. However, the fast charging rate is lower with a 33W turbo charging and the 33W charger is included in the box.
