BMW i4 eDrive35 M Sport 2025: Offers updated aesthetics, 500km range, available for RM295k

First introduced to the world last year, the latest iteration of the BMW i4 eDrive35 M Sport is now available in Malaysia. Replacing the previous generation model which was introduced in our market two years ago, it is essentially the first new EV release for 2025 in Malaysia.

When it was launched in Malaysia in August 2023, the eDrive35 M Sport was the second most junior member of the i4 family. However, this variant is the only BMW i4 facelift model available in our market at the moment.

In Malaysia, the BMW i4 eDrive35 M Sport 2025 can be obtained for RM294,800. Once you include the Extended Warranty & Service Package, that would push the figure to RM315,600.

The release of the i4 eDrive35 M Sport includes two new colour options including the Cape York Green and Fire Red. If you prefer existing colour options such as Alpine White, Mineral White, Black Sapphire, M Portimao Blue, and M Brooklyn Grey, they are still available for the model.

Almost no changes to the performance figures

When it comes to performance, the i4 eDrive35 M Sport 2025 is generally identical to its predecessor. It still features a rear-wheel drive setup with a 210kW (282hp) motor that also produces 400Nm of torque.

Its 0-100km/h timing is also still similar at 6 seconds alongside a top speed of 190km/h. The electric sedan is still being powered by a 70.3kWh battery although the 2025 model has a slightly better WLTP-rated range at 500km as opposed to its predecessor’s 483km.

Malaysian unit also has Attentiveness Assistant, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Parking Assistant Plus, and Driving Assistant as standard.

Most of the changes revolve around aesthetic updates

So, where are the new changes on the i4 eDrive35 M Sport 2025 then? Well, they are mainly aesthetic changes.

Among them are a refreshed grille design and redesigned Adaptive LED headlights, which include BMW Selective Beam technology. For Malaysia, the eDrive35 M Sport also comes standard with Laserlight rear lights alongside the new 19-inch M Aerodynamics wheel in a 996 M Bicolour finish.

Inside, the i4 eDrive35 M Sport 2025 also features the M sports steering wheel with a flat bottom. It also comes with a black interior that features M PerformTex upholstery which is said to be much lighter – so light that it allows BMW to cut the usage from 52kg to just 18kg.
