The Oppo Find N5 has officially launched worldwide and this is currently the world’s slimmest “bi-folding” smartphone. Besides having a slender form factor, the Find N5 claims the title as the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite powered foldable and it’s paired to its flagship Hasselblad cameras from the Oppo Find X8 series.
Oppo Find N5 Malaysia Pricing
The Oppo Find N5 is officially priced at RM7,999 in Malaysia for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage configuration. That’s the same launch price as the previous Oppo Find N3.
The foldable device comes in two colours – Cosmic Black and Misty White.
Oppo Find N5 Specs and Features
The Find N5 is Oppo’s 4th attempt at a large screen foldable device. Keeping it true to its practical design approach, the Oppo Find N5 still retains an ideal 20.7:9 display aspect ratio for its 6.62″ cover display. This ensures a candy bar-like smartphone experience when the device is folded.
What stands out is its sheer thinness of just 8.93mm when folded, which is barely thicker than your typical flagship candy bar smartphone. When unfolded, it is only 4.21mm thin at the thinnest point, which is barely enough space to fit a USB-C port. In fact, Oppo has to customise its data and charging port for the Find N5. The Oppo Find N5 is impressively light as well at just 229 grams.
On the inside, the Oppo Find N5 gets a large 8.12″ flexible display, making it the largest “bookstyle” foldable smartphone. In fact, this foldable device claims to offer more display area than an iPad Mini.
Besides making the entire device thinner, Oppo has also put in more effort to hide the crease with a new 3D-printed Titanium Alloy Flexion Hinge which is said to be 10% narrower and 50% shallower than its predecessor. The new hinge has received TÜV Rheinland’s Reliable Folding Certification and overall, it is 26% smaller and offers 36% improved rigidity.
Both cover and inner displays uses an LTPO panel with 1-120Hz refresh rate. The other 6.62″ screen boasts 1600 nits maximum outdoor brightness and up to 2450 nits peak HDR brightness. Meanwhile, the inner 8.12″ panel can push up to 1400 nits maximum outdoor brightness and up to 2100 nits for peak HDR brightness. For improved visibility outdoors, Oppo has also applied an anti-reflective film that’s polariser-free.
For improved durability, the Find N5 uses 7000 series aluminium for the frame as well as nanocrystal glass for the outer screen and an anti-shock film to protect the inner display. That’s not all, the Oppo Find N5 is said to be the world’s first foldable smartphone with IPX9 water resistance rating. This means it is designed not just to withstand water immersions but also high pressure water jets as well.
The Oppo Find N5’s UI has been optimised for multitasking with multiple apps as you can display three apps side by side with a floating panel. It can support a stylus with the optional Oppo Pen.
Another epic new feature is O+ Connect, which allows you to seamlessly access your Mac remotely from your Oppo Find N5. This is very useful in situations where you need to remotely access your files or run certain task on your Mac.
Besides supporting drag and drop across different apps on your phone, the O+ Connect feature even supports multi-finger gestures on the virtual trackpad. For this to work, you’ll need to install the O+ Connect app on your Mac and ensure that it is switched on with internet connected. The O+ Connect remote desktop feature is available for Mac upon launch and the Windows PC version will be released at a later date.
In the photography department, the Oppo Find N5 features a Hasselblad Master Camera with HyperTone Image Engine. According to Oppo, every camera module has been specially designed to be thinner but yet provide versatile performance.
The rear triple-camera shooter consists of a 50MP f/1.89 main camera with a 1/1.56″ LYT700 sensor along with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with auto focus and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/2.75″ Samsung JN5 sensor that offers 30x hybrid zoom.
It also has AI Telescopic Zoom that was introduced on the Oppo Find X8 series. It can also do telemacro and it can focus to subjects as close as 10cm.
For selfies, both the inner and outer display comes with an 8MP camera.
Like any flagship phones launched in 2025, the Oppo Find N5 also comes with a host of AI features for both productivity and imaging which include AI Call summary, AI Translation, AI Image Editing and native support for Google Gemini along with circle to search.
Probably the only downgrade is the speakers as the Find N5 comes only with two stereo speakers instead of three on the previous model. There’s also an array of four microphones.
Another impressive area for this new flagship foldable is the battery. Despite being thinner than the Find N3, the Oppo Find N5 manages to come with a larger 5,600mAh battery. This is made possible with its second generation Silicon Carbon battery that boasts higher density and 10% silicon content. As shown above, the battery is only 2.1mm thick which is equivalent to approximately 3 stacked payment cards.
Similar to its Find X8 lineup, the Oppo Find N5 supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging via USB-C and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging.
Oppo is still providing a power adapter in the box and the device also supports Power Delivery charging standards. The Oppo Find N5 comes with 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates.
