Exactly a year ago, Gentari launched a dedicated app called Gentari Go to serve its customers. The app covers not only EV charging but also EV rental and home solar systems. Gentari is now offering discounts on EV charging alongside free charging credits to celebrate the app’s first anniversary.
How to get the free Gentari Go charging credit?
Let’s start with the free charging credit which is exclusive to new users. When you sign up for the Gentari Go account, all you need to do is enter GOBDAY as the referral code and you will then receive a charging credit of RM30 for free.
In case you are wondering, you can get around 20kWh with that amount considering that the average charging fee for DC chargers in our market at the moment is RM1.50 per kWh. With an AC charger, you can even get up to 30kWh of energy for your EV given that the average charging fee for AC chargers is RM1 per kWh.
Using a BYD Dolphin ER with a 60.4kWh battery, the free RM30 charging credit is enough to cover 33% to 50% of the EV’s battery capacity. However, this free charging credit offer will only last until this Sunday, 23 February.

While the free charging credit offer is only available for a few days, the second reward that Gentari is offering in conjunction with Gentari Go’s anniversary can be enjoyed for much longer. Available for existing and new users, this particular reward allows you to get a 10% discount for your EV charging session at Gentari chargers.
