The Xiaomi 15 series will soon welcome its range topping model as the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be launched alongside the production Xiaomi SU7 Ultra in China on 27th February. If you’re eyeing for the greatest and latest Xiaomi x Leica photography-centric smartphone, you don’t have to wait too long as the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be available in Malaysia this coming weekend.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra to go on sale in Malaysia this Sunday
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the range topping flagship of the series and it succeeds last year’s Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Xiaomi Malaysia has indicated that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be available for purchase in our market very soon as the product page is already up on its official store on Shopee.
According to the store’s listing, the sale of the device will begin at 10:30pm on Sunday, 2nd March 2025, which is shortly after the Xiaomi global launch event that’s happening from 9:00pm.
What to expect from the Xiaomi 15 Ultra?

For the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the main star of the show is its main camera array. Similar to its predecessor, it gets a Leica co-developed quad-camera array that’s housed in a huge camera bump. The main camera uses a 1-inch 50MP sensor with Leica Summilux optical lens, while the super telephoto camera is now using a higher-resolution 200MP 1/1.4″ sensor. The periscope telephoto camera offers 200mm and 400mm lossless zoom, and it promises incredible low light performance with its wide f/2.6 aperture.
The device is said to come with a secondary 50MP telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. On top of that, the camera would also feature Leica’s ultra-low reflective lens glass. Besides improving imaging quality, the lens glass also provides added protection with improved scratch resistance of 82.4%.

Besides the usual black and white offering, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also offered in a dual-tone black and silver design which is said to be inspired by classic cameras. This dual-tone version even comes with the “Ultra’ badge at the top corner which uses the same styling as the “Ultra” badge on their high-performance EV model.

So far there’s no pricing indications for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra which is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite. Expect it to be going for more than RM5,000 as the previous Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Ultra were both launched with a price tag of RM5,199.
If you’re interested, you’ll have to stay tuned to this Sunday evening.
