Suria KLCC offers special parking rates for its basement car park throughout the Ramadhan month. However, a mistake in the promotional poster has resulted in some confusion among customers.
The original poster showed a different timing
As the story goes, we stumbled across a poster at Suria KLCC last Sunday which said that there are special Ramadhan parking rates from 1 March to 31 March 2025. Under the Ramadhan promo, customers only need to pay a maximum rate of RM9.
At that time, the poster said that this special parking rate applies to customers who parked their vehicles at Suria KLCC basement car park from 5 AM to 5 PM throughout this year’s Ramadhan period.
Since the parking rate for Suria KLCC is infamously known to be among the most expensive parking rates in Kuala Lumpur during weekdays, the Ramadhan promo is great news. We then proceed to share it on our social media together with a tip for EV owners out there who can leverage this promo to obtain huge savings by charging their EVs at Suria KLCC’s Premium Parking section.
Fast forward to yesterday, we received an influx of reports from customers who said they still had to pay the normal parking fee when they parked at Suria KLCC within the stipulated period. So, what gives?
Here’s the actual Ramadhan promo for the KLCC basement car park
As it turns out, there was a major typo on the original poster that the KLCC Parking Management put up last weekend. The proper Ramadhan promo parking period is actually from 5 PM to 5 AM, as noted in the new poster that was shared by X user azefaz_zi:
Essentially, the Ramadhan promo is a discounted off-peak rate which usually maxes out at RM17. So, customers can get a savings of RM8 if they park their vehicles for more than 4 hours at Suria KLCC basement car park between 5 PM to 5 AM during Ramadhan this year.
The mistake has also been confirmed by KLCC Parking Management when we reached out to the company this morning. It also claimed that the poster was replaced on the same day which we assumed was done a few hours after we shared it through our social media last Sunday.
While it might be an honest mistake, we do wish that KLCC Parking Management would directly inform us about the typo. After all, you can only spot the Ramadhan promo on-site and the company does not maintain a social media presence while its official website does not even have a dedicated page for news or promotions. This made it rather difficult for the public to keep track of updates from the KLCC Parking Management and all of the car parks that the company manages.
