ShopeePay has revamped its standalone app which is said to be lighter, faster and simpler than before. Besides Shopee’s eCommerce platform, the new ShopeePay app is designed to make it easier to make in-store payments and comes with various services including bill payments as well as insurance products.
The ShopeePay app is available for download via Apple AppStore and Google Play Store. While it is a separate app from Shopee, users can still login using the same credentials and gain access to the same eWallet and SPayLater (Buy Now Pay Later) facility.
For enhanced security, the ShopeePay app has incorporated 2FA and Tap Secure to ensure each transaction is approved by you.
The ShopeePay app supports DuitNow QR payments and transfers, as well as in-store QR payments with ShopeePay and SPayLater. ShopeePay has shared that it aims to introduce new features which include Cross-border transfers, rewards and savings, and transportation ticket purchases through the year.
At the moment, ShopeePay users can purchase personal accident insurance, travel insurance, car and motorcycle insurance from the app and enjoy 0% interest via SPayLater. If you renew your car insurance, ShopeePay is also running a promo offering free roadtax and 3% discount.

The ShopeePay app also has a Money Packet feature where you can send Money Packets via a link. At the moment, they are having a 100% cashback promo which requires you to send a money packet with a minimum of RM3 to 5 friends. All 5 friends must redeem the money packet through the Shopee Pay app within 24 hours in order to qualify.
According to the T&C, each eligible user can only earn a maximum ShopeePay credits cashback of RM3, and it is limited to the first 612 eligible users daily and a total of 5,508 eligible users throughout the campaign period which runs from 19 March to 27 March 2025.
The ShopeePay eWallet account can be reloaded via DuitNow Transfer and online banking, and they currently charge no fees for credit card top ups.
