CMF Phone 2 Pro triple-camera design, specs and samples revealed

Nothing is going to launch its more affordable CMF Phone 2 Pro on 28th April and they have dropped more juicy details for the upcoming camera. Similar to the Nothing Phone 3(a), the new CMF Phone will feature a triple-camera setup which includes a telephoto camera.

On top of that, Nothing has also shared some sample shots to demonstrate its new triple-camera capabilities.

The official CMF Phone 2 Pro image matches what we’ve seen in an earlier leak and it still comes an industrial design that comes with exposed screws.

As shown here, the new phone will be available in its iconic orange. It will feature a new camera layout consisting of two individual camera lens with its own rings and a smaller camera lens in a pill shape island next to it.

According to Nothing co-founder, Akis Evangelidis, the CMF Phone 2 Pro will have the best-in-segment camera system with a 50MP main camera (1/1.57″ sensor), a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera. If that sounds familiar, that’s quite similar to the Nothing Phone 3(a) which also gets a triple-camera setup.

There’s a lot to look forward to in the upcoming CMF Phone 2 Pro as the brand seems to be experimenting with new textures and surfaces for its exterior design. The original CMF Phone 1 was rather plasticky but it has its own appeal thanks to its interchangeable back covers and add-on accessories.

Nothing has also confirmed that the CMF Phone 2 Pro will be running on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro which is a slight upgrade over the current Dimensity 7300 on the CMF Phone 1. The “Pro” chip claims to have up to 10% faster CPU, and up to 5% GPU improvements than its predecessor. The chip also features a 6th generation MediaTek NPU that’s rated at 4.8TOPS of AI computing power.

Ahead of launch, CMF has also dropped a couple of impressive sample photos taken with the Phone 2 Pro. The biggest question is, how much will it cost?

As a reference, the CMF Phone 1 was launched with a RM1,099 price tag while the more premium Nothing Phone 3(a) with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is priced at RM1,699.
