Vivo has just launched the Vivo V50 Lite 5G here in Malaysia. Available in three configurations with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, prices for the V50 Lite start from RM1,299.

As mentioned above, the Vivo V50 Lite 5G is offered in three variants here in Malaysia. Pricings are as follows:

- V50 Lite (12GB+512GB) – RM1,699

Vivo V50 Lite Malaysia: Specs and features
Design-wise, one might argue that the Vivo V50 Lite doesn’t look too different from the V40 Lite, the same way how its elder sibling, the V50, hasn’t received much design changes from the V40 either.
Beyond that, you do get a 6.77-inch Full HD+ (2382×1080) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. The phone is also rated at IP65 for dust and water resistance, and has gotten an SGS 5-star drop resistance certification.
Powering the Vivo V50 Lite is MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset with up to 12GB of RAM (expandable to 24GB) and 512GB of storage.
Imaging-wise, you get a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP f/1.8 main shooter with Sony’s IMX882 sensor, as well as an 8MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra-wide angle camera. Accompanying these cameras is Vivo’s Aura Light flash that’s said to help enhance portrait photo quality, especially in low light. Up front, there’s a 32MP f/2.5 selfie camera.
Giving life to the Vivo V50 Lite is a 6,500mAh BlueVolt battery. Vivo says it has utilised its Cube Expansion Packaging Technology when designing this battery, resulting in a 50% decrease in size.
As to how long it can last, Vivo claims a full charge can provide up to 73 hours of music listening, 27 hours of movie watching, 14 hours of navigation, and 10 hours of gaming. The company even said that the battery will be able to withstand up to 1,700 full charge cycles while still maintaining at least 80% of its battery health.
Charging can be done via Vivo’s 90W FlashCharge technology using a USB-C cable. This mid-ranger can also reverse charge using a charging cable at 6W. Software-wise, the Vivo V50 Lite runs on the brand’s FuntouchOS 15, built atop Android 15.
