During the unveiling of Samsung Malaysia’s latest 2024 AI TV lineup, they revealed an interesting AI-powered home appliance that’s coming to Malaysia very soon. It isn’t your smartphone or Smart TV, but a 2-in-1 washer and dryer combo.
Meet the Samsung Bespoke AI Laundry Combo which boasts the industry’s largest capacity and fastest all-in-one washer and dryer combo. This washer and dryer combo is about the size of your industry-grade self-service laundry machines and it boasts a washer capacity of 25kg and a dryer capacity of 15kg.
For easy installation, this laundry combo uses a ventless heat pump for a ventless design which also saves space.
Samsung Bespoke AI Laundry Combo boasts the largest capacity for washer and dryer combo
Being a smart home appliance, it has a 7″ colour LCD and it is connected to your home’s WiFi. You can manage this Bespoke AI Laundry Combo remotely via SmartThings or interact with it via voice with Bixby. Besides your regular washer and dryer settings, the touchscreen has a built-in web browser that lets you play YouTube videos.
If you are in a hurry, the Bespoke AI Laundry combo has a superspeed mode which claims to provide powerful cleaning performance. Apparently, it can wash and dry your clothes in just 98 minutes.
For an effective cleaning performance, the washer also boasts AI Bubble which mixes water, air and detergent to create a cleansing foam that seeps into your fabrics. There’s also a steam function which helps to get rid of stubborn stains.
For an even more effortless laundry experience, you won’t have to mess with detergent and softener for every single wash. The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo houses a built-in automatic dispenser at the base which can hold detergent for up to 47 loads or a combination of 34 loads of softener and 25 loads of detergent. Depending on your laundry routine, you probably would only need to refill detergent once a month.
How is AI used in this washer and dryer combo?
The Bespoke AI Laundy Combo boasts AI Opti Wash & Dry feature which helps to detect the optimal wash and dryer settings for your load. Samsung claims that the machine can detect the type of fabric and soil level to determine the right settings and amount of detergent for a better wash and dry experience.
Through the SmartThings app, you can receive notifications about the laundry status and set start, stop or delay commands directly from your smartphone. Once a laundry cycle is completed, you can set the doors to open automatically.
With SmartThings, Samsung wants to encourage sustainable living by providing users with a clearer view of their power and water consumption. The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo can provide electricity usage by kWh and even the cost per wash based on a predetermined tariff.

This 2-in-1 AI-powered washer and dryer combo is expected to launch in Malaysia in July 2024. There’s no local pricing yet but we reckon that it should be priced at least RM10,000. In the US, the Bespoke AI Laundry combo is priced at USD 2,199 which is about RM10,343.
