You can now buy a Tesla Cybertruck in Malaysia

Tesla Cybertruck recently made its way to Malaysia but the electric pickup truck is not yet officially available for sale in our market. However, we have just learned that you can get your hands on one if you are willing to meet its asking price.

Tesla Cybertruck can be yours, as long as you have the money

Before you rush to Tesla Malaysia’s showroom in Cyberjaya, Damansara Heights, or Iskandar Johor, let us stop you there. As noted earlier, Tesla still has not yet launched the Cybertruck in Malaysia and the presence of the electric pickup truck is merely a technology showcase piece.

However, if you want the Cybertruck so bad, Luxoticars of Ampang claim that it can make your desire a reality. In fact, the luxury and consignment car dealer said that it currently has one in stock.

How much, you asked? In response to our Instagram DM, Luxoticars said the Cybertruck can be yours for a cool RM1.2 million. Mind you: that figure does not include any taxes you must pay to make the massive electric truck yours.

It is a Foundation Series model with unknown specs

According to Luxoticars’s Facebook and Instagram page, the unit that it is putting for sale is a Foundation Series model. However, the listing did not mention which variant that this particular unit is.

Tesla has only delivered two versions to customers so far including the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) and Cyberbeast. The third option which is the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) will only be launched in 2025.

Even though it costs an additional USD20,000 (~RM94,140), the Foundation Series is essentially not a dedicated variant. Instead, it gives customers the privilege of getting the Cybertruck much earlier than a non-Foundation Series model.

Aside from that, a Foundation Series unit is also equipped with all the bells and whistles that the Cybertruck has to offer. This includes the Full Self-Driving (FSD) package which already costs USD12,000 (~RM56,484) by itself.

Meanwhile, we also like to remind you that the Cybertruck comes with a left-hand drive setup. At the moment, Tesla has yet to announce any plan to release its electric pickup truck in right-hand drive configuration.
