Wet Floor Cleaner priced at RM3,399

The Dyson WashG1 is coming to Malaysia and it’s the brand’s first dedicated wet floor cleaner. While Dyson is typically associated with vacuum cleaners, the WashG1 is essentially a smart mop with a water tank to ensure efficient cleaning for hard surfaces.

While it doesn’t replace a vacuum cleaner, you can use the Dyson WashG1 to clean your floors in both wet and dry situations without the need to vacuum first. It is worth pointing out that it isn’t a “wet and dry” vacuum like the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine and Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine.

Dyson WashG1 Malaysia Pricing and Availability

Dyson WashG1 now available for pre-order in Malaysia

The Dyson WashG1 is officially priced at RM3,399 and is now available for pre-order in Malaysia.

If you’re interested, you can pre-order the WashG1 online or at Dyson stores throughout Malaysia. As part of their pre-order offer, they are offering complimentary Dyson Dual Microfibre rollers worth RM239.

Dyson WashG1 Key Features

The Dyson WashG1 features two counter-rotating micro-fibre rollers which can be hydrated in three modes to clean various surfaces. Equipped with a 1-litre tank, it can cover an area of 3,000 sq ft on a single charge and uses a combination of hydration, absorption and extraction technologies.

There are a total of 26 hydration points along the full width of the roller and there’s an extra Boost mode button that purges each roller with the maximum amount of hydration to get rid of stubborn dirt and dried-on stains.

According to Dyson, it can pick up everything from fine dust, small debris and hair, to splashes and spillages, all the way to more challenging spillages such as ketchup, syrup, oil and toothpaste.

On typical wet vacuum cleaners which use suction power, they found that these appliances may emit unpleasant odour from the vacuum exhaust. Instead of using suction, the WashG1 relies a system of rollers that uses micro-fibre materials with 64,800 filaments per cm2 for optimal cleaning performance.

The WashG1 has a replaceable click-in battery with four lithium-ion cells which can deliver up to 35 minutes of floor washing power.

To keep the rollers clean for continuous cleaning, the WashG1 is equipped with secondary rollers with nylon bristles to remove large dirt and debris. On top of that, there’s also a rigid extraction edge to extract the dirty water from the microfibre rollers.

As you clean, the dirty water is transferred into a separate dirty water tank with a capacity of 0.8 litres. There’s also a 500-micron mesh to separate solid debris from the liquid onto a separate tray. As a result, users can easily and hygienically dispose of the water and debris with minimal mess for ease of maintenance.

To ensure the WashG1 is clean for its next job, there’s also a self-cleaning mode which purges both rollers with clean water on the highest boost setting to flush the entire system. The self-clean cycle takes 140 seconds and it is done while it is being charged on the dock.
