Set up saving goals with MAE Tabung

Always wanted to save up for your dream holiday in Korea or the car you’ve always wanted, but lack the motivation or discipline to do it? Don’t worry, as you can simply set saving goals via the MAE app. To do so, simply create a Tabung, type out what you’re saving up for, and set the amount you want to save and when you want to achieve it.

For example, you’re looking to save up RM8,000 in 2 years for your next car’s down payment. Just open the MAE app, scroll down until you see the Tabung section, and click the “New Tabung” button. You can then choose which category you’re saving for, which in this case is a car.

MAE will ask for details such as your monthly gross income, total monthly commitments, the estimated price of your next car, the down payment amount, and loan tenure. The app will then generate a monthly payment amount as well as an affordability result, advising you on whether the car you’re dreaming of buying is within reach.

And voilà, your Tabung for your next car has successfully been created! If you’re worried that you might forget or are not disciplined enough to contribute to your Tabung, you can turn on the auto deduction function. This will allow the app to automatically transfer funds from your savings account to your Tabung on either a monthly or weekly basis.

Wondering where did your money go? Track your expenses using the MAE app

Often find yourself overspending without realising, and wonder where your money has gone to? Just track your expenses using the MAE app, where you can not only see your transaction history, but also a breakdown of your spending by categories, merchants, and more.

From here, you will be able to know where you have spent most of your money and decide or strategise on how to cut down your spending, especially the unnecessary ones.

By being more conscious of your spending, you will be surprised by how much money you can save rather than overspending on the things that you never needed in the first place.
