Yes 5G now lets you roam in 12 countries including South Korea from RM10/day

Yes 5G has expanded its Yes Roam ASEAN Plus Data Roaming offering which now covers a total of 12 countries. South Korea is their latest Data Roaming destination and you can roam overseas from as little as RM10 per day.

To recap, Yes 5G ASEAN Plus is a roaming add-on for postpaid users which provides “unlimited” data roaming in multiple countries with a single pass. With the latest addition, YesRoam ASEAN Plus now supports the following countries:

  • Brunei
  • Cambodia
  • China
  • Hong Kong
  • Indonesia
  • Laos
  • Macau
  • Philippines
  • South Korea
  • Taiwan
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

There are three pass options ranging from daily, 3-day and 7-day pass. The daily pass costs RM10 which provides 1GB of high-speed quota, while the 3-day pass (RM20) offers 5GB of high-speed quota. For longer trips and if you need more data, the 7-day pass (RM30) offers 10GB of high-speed quota.

For a seamless experience, users can preactivate the Yes Roam ASEAN Plus add-on up to 30 days in advance. If you changed your mind, you can cancel it before 2 days from activation.

After your high-speed quota is depleted, you can still get connected overseas but speeds will be throttled down to 512kbps. That’s still sufficient for normal web browsing, instant messaging and map navigation, but don’t expect high definition video streaming.

If you’re wondering why Singapore isn’t included, it is because Yes 5G Infinite Postpaid plans currently offer free “unlimited” 5G Roaming in Singapore up to 10GB of high-speed quota per month. For other Yes postpaid plans, you can roam in Singapore up with 1Gb of high-speed data for RM8 per day.
