Huawei Nova 13 & Nova 13 Pro Malaysia specs and features
In terms of design, the Huawei Nova 13 and Nova 13 Pro both get rear cover designs that have been inspired by plaid clothing and features a silky satin-like texture. Colour-wise, the Huawei Nova 13 is available in either Loden Green, Black, or White, while the Pro model can be had in either Loden Green or Black.
At the front of the Huawei Nova 13 is a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2412 x 1084 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Nova 13 Pro on the other hand sports a 6.76-inch Full HD+ LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2776 x 1224 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
It’s not known what chip is powering these devices just yet, but what we know is that the Huawei Nova 13 in Malaysia is offered with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Its Pro sibling carries more storage space at 512GB instead.
At the back of the Huawei Nova 13 and Nova 13 Pro are camera island designs which Huawei calls the “Super Star Orbit Ring”. With the vanilla Nova 13, you get a 50MP f/1.9 main camera and an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide macro camera. As for selfies, you get the 60MP f/2.4 front ultrawide camera.
If you want even better photo-taking capabilities, you will want to opt for the Huawei Nova 13 Pro instead. This one gets a tri-camera setup at the rear, consisting of a 50MP Adjustable Aperture Camera which has a variable aperture range of f/1.4 to f/4.0, along with OIS for steadier shots. Working alongside it is a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom, along with an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide sensor.
Like to take selfies? The Huawei Nova 13 Pro offers a dual front camera setup, made up of an 8MP f/2.2 camera and a 60MP f/2.4 ultrawide shooter. This should be versatile enough for you to take selfies in most situations.
Oh, by the way, the Pro model is the only one to get an IP65 rating, making it dust and water-resistant.
Allowing all of the above features to function is the 5,000mAh battery found in both the Huawei Nova 13 and Nova 13 Pro. Both of these models support the 100W Huawei Supercharge Turbo charging technology too, which can juice up the regular Nova 13 from flat to 50% in just 10 minutes. The same can be done with the Nova 13 Pro in under 9 minutes.
The Huawei Nova 13 and Nova 13 Pro both run on the tech giant’s EMUI 14.2 operating system.
