Tecno has launched its latest tablet, the Tecno Megapad 11 here in Malaysia. Currently offered with a sole configuration in the country, it boasts features such as 4G/LTE connectivity, WPS Office applications, and a series of AI features, whilst sporting a wallet-friendly price tag of under RM1,000.

A protective case is included with the tablet out of the box, and you will also receive a Bluetooth keyboard as a complimentary gift. You can purchase the Tecno MegaPad 11 via Tecno’s official online stores on TikTok Shop, Shopee, and Lazada.
Although the Megapad 11 is officially offered in a single configuration only here in Malaysia, at least at the time of writing, the tablet is also listed with an additional configuration by certain retailers, offering 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Wondering if that option will be made available in Malaysia soon.
Tecno Megapad 11 Malaysia specs and features
In Malaysia, the Tecno MegaPad 11 is offered in two colourways, namely Starfall Grey and Vitality Green. The unit you see in these pictures is the former option. Despite sporting a wallet-friendly price point, the tablet sports an aluminium body that’s cold to the touch when in cold environments.
At the front of the Tecno MegaPad 11 is, as its name suggests, an 11-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. This panel also boasts a 90Hz refresh rate and can crank itself to a peak brightness of 440 nits.
Under the “hood” of the Tecno Megapad 11 is MediaTek’s 6nm-based G99 octa-core processor. This is then paired with 8GB RAM, which is expandable up to a total of 16GB. As listed above, the Megapad 11 currently sold in Malaysia is fitted with 256GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card.
In the imaging department, the Tecno Megapad 11 is equipped with a 13MP main camera at the back with dual flash, along with an 8MP selfie shooter. If you’re purchasing this tablet for entertainment consumption, you’ll be glad to know that it comes with a quad stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos.
Aside from play, Tecno has designed its Megapad 11 to handle work-related tasks too. For starters, it comes with the WPS Office suite, allowing you to work on your word, spreadsheet, and presentation slides documents.
The Megapad 11 can also handle multitasking via split screen, and can even run up to four applications simultaneously. While in split screen mode, you can even transfer files between apps by dragging and dropping them.
Furthermore, Tecno has also packed its latest tablet with its suite of AI functions, which have been developed based on its own Ella AI assistant. These features can help you with tasks such as translations via voice, texts, and images, summarising documents into key points, and measuring objects using AR. Like many other recent Tecno devices, the Megapad 11 comes with Tecno’s Ella voice assistant too, which is powered by ChatGPT.
The Tecno Megapad 11 might come with lots of features despite being relatively affordable, but how long can it last? Up to 29 hours under “daily use” apparently, according to Tecno. That’s thanks to the tablet’s 8,000mAh battery. Tecno also claims that the Megapad 11 can play video continuously for up to 5 hours, and can last a whopping 71 days when in airplane mode.
Charging the tablet from an empty tank to 50% takes just an hour, and 3 hours to go all the way to a full “tank”, thanks to the Megapad 11 being able to handle up to 18W charging speed.
Software-wise, the Tecno Megapad 11 runs on Android 14, with Tecno’s in-house features added on top.
