First 200 Denza D9 electric MPVs delivered to customers in Malaysia

In less than a month since launch, Denza Malaysia has successfully delivered the first 200 units of the Denza D9 to its customers. This is a luxury 7-seater fully electric MPV that takes on the likes of the Toyota Alphard/Vellfire, priced from RM259,000.

As revealed earlier, Denza has received over 800 orders for the D9 within a week of launch and the mass delivery today marks a milestone for the brand.

Denza is a premium sub-brand under BYD and in total, the BYD brand has delivered over 15,000 EVs in Malaysia, making it the #1 EV brand in Malaysia. One out of four EVs registered in Malaysia last year was a BYD.

BYD Malaysia Sdn Bhd Managing Director Eagle Zhao said, “The delivery of our first 200 units of the DENZA D9 marks an exciting milestone for DENZA in Malaysia. This overwhelming response reflects the growing demand for premium electric mobility and reaffirms our dedication to innovation, craftsmanship, and customer experience. We are committed to shaping the future of high-end EVs and look forward to delivering even more exceptional vehicles to our customers in Malaysia.”

The public can check out and test drive the Denza D9 at Plaza Arkadia, Desa ParkCity this weekend. They are also showcasing the Denza Z9 GT with special “crab walk” demos happening throughout the event.

The Denza D9 is officially priced at RM259,000 for the Advanced model and RM309,000 for the Premium model in Malaysia. The Advanced model has single-motor driving the front wheels that pushes 230kW (308hp) and 360Nm of torque, while the Premium model has a twin-motor AWD setup that delivers 270kW (396hp) and 479Nm of torque.
