DC charging etiquette

With DC chargers, it is recommended to charge only up to 80% or up to what you need to reach your destination comfortably. This is due to the charging curve as the final 20% (80% to 100%) charge is significantly slower to complete. In most cases, charging from 80-100% could take a longer time than charging from 20-80%.
Rather than occupying the charging bay for an extra 20-30 minutes, it is best to stop at 80% and continue driving until you need to top up again. As usual, if you’re done charging, move your vehicle immediately so that other vehicles can charge as well. Some charge point operators have also imposed idle and overstay fees to discourage hogging.
