Honor Power debuts with 8000mAh battery, 300% volume speakers

Previously, it was reported that Honor was working on a new smartphone lineup called the “Power”, with a main focus on ultra-long battery life. Now, the first phone, literally called the Honor Power, has made its debut in China.

Honor Power: 8,000mAh battery, 300% volume speakers

The main selling point of the Honor Power is its gigantic 8,000mAh battery, which Honor says can last you up to 25 hours of video playback, 23.5 hours of GPS navigation, 23.1 hours of social media scrolling, and 14 hours of gaming. In fact, with just 2% of battery left, you can still use the Honor Power to make phone calls for slightly over an hour. The same 2% is also said to be able to last up to 16.5 hours with the phone in standby mode.

Usually, to get this level of battery life would mean the phone would end up being super thick and look like a brick. But the Honor Power measures just 8mm in thickness and looks pretty much like a phone you would expect to see in 2025. Honor has even packed this phone with a stereo speaker setup that’s said to provide 300% of volume output.

At the face of the phone is a 6.78″ 1.5K (2700×1224) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,000 nits. Imaging-wise, you get a 50MP f/1.95 main camera with a 1/1.56″ sensor and a 5MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, you get a 16MP f/2.45 front camera.

Powering the Honor Power is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. In China, the device can be had with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Honor has also equipped the Power with its own-developed C1+ radio frequency (RF) enhancement chip, which allows users to utilise BeiDou satellite texting on the 12GB+512GB variant. This chip also offers 20% better positional accuracy for triple-frequency BeiDou and dual-frequency GPS.

Although not IP rated, Honor says it has tested the Power to be water resistant. The smartphone is also SGS five-star certified for anti-drop protection. Running on Android 15 with Honor’s MagicOS 9.0 on top, the Honor Power is offered in three colourways — Black, White, and Gold.

Honor Power pricing in China

In China, the Honor Power is priced from RMB 1999 (~RM1199) for the 8GB+256GB variant and tops out at RMB 2499 (~RM1499) for the 12GB+512GB variant. But those are the official retail prices. With the early bird discounts in effect, the Honor Power can be had from just RMB 1,699.15 (~RM1019).
