APPLETON — In a battle of the best teams, the Irish survived a stunning comeback from the Foxes, remain undefeated in the Northeast Conference and are in contention for a fifth straight season.
The Freedom, which was ranked first in Division 3 in the latest Associated Press poll, led 30-18 in the second half but lost to FVL. Triplett is eighth in scoring in Division 2. -33 after Lauren Movrich's triple win.
The Irishwoman took the lead again and defeated newcomer Emily Jane. Kirsten Krewald landed the winning shot, which Freedom missed in the final seconds, while Saadi Yarmolovic made two free throws to set up the winner.
Yarmolovich had 19 points to lead the scorer, Sidney Bartels added 16 points. Yank had 16 points at Fox Valley Lutherans (18-3, 14-2).
It was the Liberty's 56th consecutive win in the Northeast Conference.

McKenna Holzrichter led the Blue Bombers with 17 points, while Katie Schumacher added 10 points.

Brillion – The Lions outscored the Vikings by 11 points in the second half to win.
"In the second half, we played better on power defense and made some interceptions that led to several passes," Brilliant coach Jeff Capel said. In the second half we were more effective, we attacked from outside and in, we scored goals and we were well balanced.
Megan Schumann and Alaina Schwan each scored 14 points and topped the Brillion rankings. Schumann scored all the points in the second half.
Claire Zipperer leads Walders by 30 points.
